Manchester United sign 18-year-old Tynan Thompson from Tottenham

One of the most intriguing soccer prospects is heading to Manchester United. The side agreed to sign 18-year-old Tynan Thompson from the Tottenham Spurs, the team announced Monday.

Thompson’s deal is worth $5.4 million, but can double based on how he performs, according to the Athletic.

Thompson, a winger, initially joined the Tottenham under-12s and worked his way through the organization, emerging as a strong prospect. Though he signed professional contracts last year, Thompson has yet to make his senior debut.
