Yusuf Cariyat of Wisdom International School of Excellence, Abuja, also made the list, alongside Adeyemo Victoria of Lanre Awolokun High School, Gbagada, Lagos State.
Completing the shortlist are Omotayo Akintunde of Ilugun High School Junior, Abeokuta, Ogun State, and Okegbemi Olukemi of Ilado/Sagbo Community Grammar School, Iseyin, Oyo State.
The shortlisted educators will proceed to an online assessment and an in-person screening before the judging panel. During the process, they will be required to defend their submissions and demonstrate their contributions to teaching and learning.
The competition’s overall winner and state champions are expected to be unveiled at the grand finale scheduled for October 30, 2026, in Lagos.
Reacting to the selection, the Corporate Affairs Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Uzodinma Odenigbo, praised the finalists for their dedication to teaching and their efforts to prepare younger generations for the future.
Odenigbo said the selection process demonstrated the depth of talent and commitment within Nigeria’s teaching profession. He added that the organisers were looking forward to recognising and celebrating the educators’ achievements at the forthcoming grand finale.
