LAUTECH denies viral notice fixing September 23 for matriculation list signing

An internal memo dated August 24 and signed by Balogun directed relevant faculty officers to facilitate the signing of the lists by newly admitted 100 Level and Direct Entry students.

The officers were instructed to collect students’ signatures against their names and submit three completed copies of the lists to the Registrar’s Office by September 30, 2026.

The memo described the matriculation list as an important statutory document of the university.

However, the September 30 deadline for the return of the completed documents does not indicate that students should commence signing on September 23.

Management therefore advised students to rely only on announcements issued through the university’s official communication channels for information concerning the matriculation exercise.

The institution reiterated that the date circulating online was not approved by the university and should be ignored.
