The Philadelphia 76ers have assembled one of the best teams in the NBA this season as they brought in Jaylen Brown and LeBron James during the offseason. It is no secret that they are going all in for a championship.

On Monday, Philadelphia had its first preseason game of the season, where three of its five starters didn’t play. 76ers head coach Nick Nurse announced that he wants to get them playing together in at least two of the remaining preseason games.

“Philadelphia coach Nick Nurse says the hope is to play the majority of his players together in two of the remaining three preseason games,” ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported.

Still, the 76ers were able to handle the New York Knicks pretty handily on Monday night. The Knicks played all of their starters in the game, and it still wasn’t enough for them to hang with Philadelphia.

“The Sixers win their preseason opener 120-97 over NYK. Jaylen Brown had 22 pts on 8-for-13 shooting in 17 minutes and five other Philly players scored in double digits, led by Caleb Love’s 15 pts off the bench,” McMenamin posted.

It is very clear that the 76ers have a lot of weapons, maybe even more than some think off the bench. They are a deep team. New York head coach Mike Brown revealed his honest thoughts on Philadelphia and how it impacts everyone competing for a title.

“In my opinion, it definitely just got harder for everybody with the team that they assembled,” Brown said.

That is high praise from the Knicks head coach, as he is no stranger to powerful teams in his career. After all, he was on the Golden State Warriors coaching staff when they had Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson.

Brown knows a great team when he sees one, and he definitely has that view on the 76ers. Philadelphia is a real championship contender if they stay healthy, and Brown sees that clear as day.
