Borussia Dortmund, as Ekrem Konur understands, are reportedly leading the race to sign Karim Konaté from RB Salzburg.

As reported by FussballNews.de, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly monitoring the situation of the 22-year-old talent.

The Ivorian came to Austria from his home country four years ago and has already made 99 competitive appearances for Salzburg.

A striker by trade, Konaté boasts an impressive rate of return, scoring 47 goals whilst providing a further 13 assists to date.

The 18-time international has also made an excellent start to the current season, scoring four goals in the first six matchdays.

However, Dortmund are reportedly not alone in the race to sign Konaté, with RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt are also interested.

Furthermore, Konaté has allegedly attracted the attention of several English clubs, particularly both Sunderland and Nottingham Forest.
