Josh Simmons injury: Latest status update for KC Chiefs OL in Week 2

Second-year offensive lineman Josh Simmons was held out of all Kansas City Chiefs practice sessions this week ahead of the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on ‘Sunday Night Football.’

Will Simmons be able to take the field to face Indianapolis in primetime?

Simmons is dealing with a back injury and did not participate in any of the Chiefs’ workouts in Week 2. He has officially been assigned a game status designation of “OUT” and will not play against Indianapolis on ‘Sunday Night Football.’

With Simmons set to be relegated to the sideline in Week 2, Kansas City will have rookie blocker Kahlil Benson manning the left tackle position against the Colts on ‘Sunday Night Football.’
