JAMB warns UTME, Direct Entry candidates against profile creation errors

The board noted that an error in a candidate’s name or date of birth could therefore affect the accuracy of their JAMB records and potentially create difficulties later in the admission process.

JAMB also warned candidates against relying on affidavits as an automatic solution to errors in their records.

The examination body stressed that obtaining an affidavit does not by itself guarantee that incorrect personal information in JAMB’s records will be changed.

Candidates were consequently advised to resolve any discrepancies in their identity information before creating their JAMB profiles.

The board urged prospective UTME and Direct Entry candidates to take the verification process seriously, noting that accurate personal details are essential for creating reliable admission records.
