How will LSU’s offense look after a week of camp?

We are less than four weeks away from being back inside the Cathedral of College Football.

LSU is now through its first full week of fall camp, and there is already plenty to look forward to when looking at this team.

Let’s start by looking at the offense.

Sam Leavitt has been in the headlines throughout camp for the way that he has transformed his body this offseason, adding over 10 pounds of muscle and getting truly healthy for the first time since suffering an injury at Arizona State early in the season last year.

Not only physically, but you can see a level of maturity in the way that Leavitt is operating at practice in Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis Jr’s new offense.

Running back? Not an issue. Caden Durham is still special, Harlem Berry has grown into an elite running back, and Dilin Jones is, in my honest opinion, the perfect mix of the two. So no matter who lines up on the side of QB1, the defense will have to account for them.

Receivers? It’s LSU. Of course, the receivers are good. Jayce Brown and Tre’ Brown both come in as key transfers and veteran leaders; Tre Wilson comes from Florida ready to be the playmaker of this group, and let’s not forget Jackson Harris, Winnie Watkins, and a litany of others that are ready to step up when their number is called. This group is new and mostly inexperienced, but the talent level is through the roof.

TreyDez Green. Do I really need to say more? He’s built like a semi-truck and has the speed of a track star. He’s going to be a serious problem in 2026 after having a really good 2025. Look for him to be one of the best tight ends in America, if not the best.

Lastly, the offensive line. You bring in Jordan Seaton, easily one of the best left tackles in football, to be the anchor of the line. Bo Bordelon and Braelin Moore are back as your fifth-year vets, and then you add in key pieces and depth like William Satterwhite, Devin Harper, Ja’Quan Sprinkle, and many more who can rotate in and out to keep the trenches as fresh and alert as possible.

All in all, LSU has a rich tradition of being good offensively, and while it’s impossible to reach 2019 and really tough to hit 2023, this group will be close to historic in Baton Rouge when you look at it right now.
