The Lumberjacks enter at 1-0 after rallying for a dramatic 34-27 victory over Eastern Washington in their season opener. Northern Arizona fell behind 24-3 before storming back to score 31 of the game’s final 34 points, giving the nationally ranked Lumberjacks plenty of momentum heading into their lone FBS matchup of the season.
Arizona will make its 2026 season debut after going 9-4 in 2025 and reaching the Holiday Bowl. Quarterback Noah Fifita returns to lead the Wildcats as Brent Brennan begins his third season in Tucson. Arizona has won the last two meetings with NAU, including a 22-10 victory in 2024, but the Lumberjacks famously pulled off a 21-19 upset in Tucson in 2021.
