Texas enters Thursday at 54-52 after splitting the first two games of its series against Tampa Bay, while Houston sits at 53-55 following a 6-3 loss to the Angels on Wednesday. That puts additional importance on this weekend’s series as both clubs try to gain ground in a crowded American League playoff race heading into August.
Friday’s opener is scheduled for 8:15 PM ET at Daikin Park and will stream on Apple TV. Neither team has announced a probable starting pitcher for the opener yet, according to MLB’s latest listings. With Texas and Houston entering the weekend almost even in the standings, the three-game set gives both clubs an opportunity to create some separation against a familiar division rival.
This is a great MLB matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
