The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday as they look to start the season 3-0 for the first time since 2024.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ success through the first two weeks has been a welcome surprise, after many questioned his ability to perform after his ACL surgery this offseason. The two-time MVP is now playing with a level of confidence that was absent last season.
Fantasy managers should start Mahomes if they can, as the Dolphins’ defense will likely struggle to stop him.
When I took Mahomes in my fantasy draft this year, I was cautiously optimistic about his potential as a fantasy quarterback. Still, I selected quarterback Trevor Lawrence just in case. Unfortunately for Lawrence, Mahomes has been my second-highest scorer so far and has exceeded expectations.
The six-time Pro Bowler is among the league’s top fantasy scorers so far and is quickly becoming a player worth not only starting but also trading for. I expect another great game from Mahomes on Sunday.
Mahomes is playing some of his best football through the first two weeks of this season. With increased trust in both his wide receivers and his protection, Kansas City’s shot caller is, as they say, letting it rip. The addition of running back Kenneth Walker this offseason has also given Mahomes added confidence.
If Mahomes can maintain his success from the first two weeks, he can easily throw for 250+ yards and two touchdowns on Sunday.
