Frank Lampard’s side lost 1-0 to the Tigers at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday afternoon, with Liam Millar scoring the decisive goal in the 82nd minute.

Coventry created several chances during the game, with Hull goalkeeper, Konstantinos Tzolakis denying Awoniyi from close range in the first half.

The Nigeria international also headed another opportunity wide as Coventry struggled to find the back of the net.

Awoniyi said after the game that the team needed to improve their finishing.

“We did quite good in terms of having the ball; unfortunately, they had that great counter-attack and they took their chance. It is on us to take our chances as well,” the striker told Coventry media.
