It’s time for a rematch.
After Texas football opened its season with a 59-7 thumping of Texas State, the Longhorns now turn their attention to a long-anticipated Saturday night showdown: a third matchup in past three calendar years against with Ohio State.

Last year, Texas (1-0) was the overall, preseason No. 1 team. But the Longhorns lost 14-7 in Columbus, Ohio to begin quarterback Arch Manning’s time as the starter.
Ohio State (1-0) opened its season with a rousing 56-3 defeat over Ball State. Buckeye quarterback Julian Sayin threw for three touchdowns and 320 yards; Manning had four touchdowns and threw for 305 yards to being the year.
With this being one of the most-anticipated games of the week, FanDuel and Bet MGM have the Longhorns favored. But it’s expected to be a possession game, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
