The NASCAR Cup Series competed at Pocono Raceway, and it was a thrilling event. Denny Hamlin won Stage 1, while Todd Gilliland won Stage 2; however, only one driver could enter victory lane. Despite a valiant effort by Christopher Bell with his fuel-saving strategy, a Joe Gibbs Racing driver took home the win.
Hamlin and the No. 11 team for Joe Gibbs Racing won the Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono on Sunday, earning their fourth victory of the 2026 Cup Series season. The driver of the No. 11 car passed Bell with under 10 laps to go and held off William Byron’s charge earlier in the run.
This is Hamlin’s third straight victory, and he is showing no signs of slowing down. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver continues to be one of NASCAR’s best drivers as he slowly catches Tyler Reddick in the point standings. Hamlin is driving at the top of his game, and he should be considered the current championship favorite.
