Commanders head coach Dan Quinn spoke to the media on Monday afternoon, for the first time since the start of Washington’s bye week. His public comments came just before the first practice back after some time off during Week 7.
He addressed several topics during this session, including some key injury updates. The Commanders will get receiver Treylon Burks, quarterback Marcus Mariota and defensive lineman Charles Omenihu back, though Javon Kinlaw isn’t quite ready.
Quinn also provided some details on Bill Croskey-Merritt, who is on injured reserve with a groin injury that will be allowed to fully heal before he returns.
Quinn was also asked about replacing Terry McLaurin, and it sounds like Antonio Williams’ activity level will increase. Here’s everything you need to know about Quinn’s Monday presser:
Who steps up without Terry McLaurin
Worth noting that on the conference call, Quinn said with Terry McLaurin sidelined, he can see more targets for Antonio Williams. Not about taking his position — Burks and Brown more suited for the X — but needing more targets.

O-line adjustments
Quinn on changes to the offensive line that he alluded to last week:
“I think more strategy than personnel as we’re going through that topic.”
But added he wanted better downfield blocking

JD5’s aggressiveness
Quinn is asked about Kurt Warner’s comments on Daniels’ lack of aggressiveness on certain throws. The coach said that does show up at times, but Jayden is excellent at placing the ball where it needs to be. https://t.co/kVdP9tXxx1
