College football rankings after Week 4: Updated Coaches Poll, AP Top 25 for ACC

Week 4 of the 2026 college football season was largely quiet for the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Largely, but not entirely.

The conference did suffer an upset from within its own ranks, as No. 19 Louisville dropped its second game of the year in a road stunner at unranked Wake Forest, which blocked a would-be game-tying field goal in the final seconds to preserve a 30-27 win over Jeff Brohm’s squad.

Elsewhere, No. 25 SMU got a surprisingly tough game out of Missouri State, holding off the Bears’ 14 fourth-quarter points to hold onto a 34-24 win. The rest of the Week 4 ACC schedule was unremarkable, with No. 5 Miami, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Duke, Virginia and NC State dominating in their respective buy games.

Elsewhere, Virginia Tech beat Boston College 21-14 while Clemson got the party started on Friday, Sept. 25, with a 24-10 road win in Berkeley, California.
