The Philadelphia Eagles waived linebacker Chandler Martin in June with a failed physical designation, and now over a month later, he was back visiting with the team, as noted by Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.

The Eagles signed Martin to a two-year deal just five months after the LB tore his ACL, ending his rookie season in late-November. He was in Philadelphia from March to June before ultimately being waived by the team, but it’s likely this recent meeting is to see if he’s medically cleared.

Even if he’s not ready just yet, Martin could eventually be a good developmental player for Philadelphia on both defense and special teams.

Martin spent most of his rookie season with Baltimore on the practice squad, but did get elevated to the active roster in three games. The LB only saw playing time on special teams, but did record five total tackles in his 34 snaps.
