Ballon d’Or 2026: Nigeria’s George Ilenikhena, Arthur Okonkwo pick winners

Super Eagles stars, George Ilenikhena and Arthur Okonkwo have picked their Ballon d’Or winners.

The Ballon d’Or winner will be announced in England next month, and 30 players have already been shortlisted for the award.

Players such as Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane are among the nominees.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele won the Ballon d’Or last year ahead of Yamal.

However, when asked who he thinks will win the Ballon d’Or this year, Ilenikhena named Kane and Mbappe.

“This year, I have many players like Mbappe and Kane. They can both win the Ballon d’Or this year,” Ilenikhena said, according to PoojaMedia.

On his part, Okonkwo said, “Kylian Mbappe. Because he scored the most goals and everything. He is the best player this season.”
