Just before the start of the 2026 season, the Wisconsin Badgers have made a major hire to their front office. Wisconsin is hiring Marcus Berry as their Senior Director of Personnel Strategy, the school announced.
Berry has been a longtime college football staffer, holding various roles at a number of schools over the past 18 years. He was most recently the General Manager of Player Personnel at Temple between 2024 and 2025 after being promoted from the Chief of Staff role, which he held since 2023.
Prior to that, he was the Assistant Director of Recruiting at Michigan State (2022-23), Director of Recruiting at Maryland (2016-22), Director of Player Personnel at Rutgers (2015), Director of Player Personnel at Illinois (2013-14), and the Director of Player Personnel at UNC (2008-13).
His experience is expected to help Wisconsin general manager Morocco Brown in the front office, as the Badgers continue to bolster their recruiting and personnel department.
Wisconsin has added quite a bit to its front office this offseason. Brown was the big addition, replacing Marcus Sedberry, who was the interim general manager. Sedberry has since returned to his role as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Athletic Director.
In addition to Brown, the Badgers have brought in Berry (Senior Director of Personnel Strategy), Curtis Grant (Director of Player Development), Darius Hicks (Assistant General Manager), and Bradie Ewing (Director of Alumni Relations).
Wisconsin has done a ton of work to rebuild its front office and become stronger in the NIL era, and they’ve now added a ton of experience in the room to aid head coach Luke Fickell ahead of a major season.
