Alec Pierce downgraded to out with heel injury

There is not good news on Colts receiver Alec Pierce.

After initially announcing Pierce as questionable to return with a heel injury, the Colts have downgraded Pierce to out.

Pierce injured the same heel that was surgically repaired during the offseason early on in Sunday’s matchup with the Chiefs. He hopped off the field and was examined in the sideline medical tent before being carted back to the locker room for further examination.

Pierce had one catch for 11 yards before he exited the contest.

The Colts have a 13-10 lead over Kansas City after a booming 49-yard field goal from Spencer Shrader in the second quarter.
