Alan Ritchson & Arnold Schwarzenegger Team Up For An Action-Packed Heist

Ritchson is known as an actor, director, producer, writer, and singer who began his career in 2004 on American Idol. He later joined series such as Smallville and became Aquaman/Arthur Curry. The actor gained wider recognition in the sitcom Blue Mountain State, and reprised his role in the 2016 sequel. From there, Ritchson has been involved in many projects, including The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Fast X, and is now the lead on Prime Video’s hit action series Reacher.

Prime Video’s The Man with the Bag arrives on December 2, and the new trailer has officially debuted. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ritchson, Berkeley James, Michael Cyril Creighton, Liza Koshy, Kyle Mooney, Jane Krakowski, Ken Jeong, and Awkwafina. This marks Schwarzenegger’s first holiday movie in 30 years, and this time he’s taking on the role of Santa Claus, with Adam Shankman directing the action-packed holiday heist.

When Santa’s (played by Schwarzenegger) iconic red bag is stolen by a rogue elf with a grudge (played by Awkwafina), Christmas is suddenly at risk. With his biggest night of the year fast-approaching, Santa recruits a thief (played by Ritchson) from his ‘Naughty List’ who quickly assembles a crew of criminally skilled misfits — with a little help from elves and reindeer — to pull off the most unexpected heist of their lives.

Ritchson is hired by Santa Claus himself to help the jolly Saint in retreiving his stolen bag filled with Christmas gifts for the children of the world. The two beloved Hollywood action icons take on an entirely new adventure, and it promises to bring “big laughs, and plenty of heart.”

Schwarzenegger hasn’t appeared in a Christmas movie for 30 years, with his last being the classic movie Jingle All the Way, where the actor portrayed a workaholic father attempting to get the sold-out toy on Christmas Eve for his son. Despite being a fun and classic movie for the holidays, sadly, the movie debuted to a disappointing critical reception and only reached 20% on Rotten Tomatoes.
