To address severe instructional gaps in rural schools, the ministry has prioritised recruitment for specific subject areas.
While general basic education graduates are welcome to apply, the state will give priority to qualified teachers specialising in the following core areas:
- Science & Tech: Mathematics, Basic Science and Technology, Computer Science/Digital Literacy, and Agricultural Science.
- Languages & Humanities: English Language, Nigerian History, Arabic, Hausa Language, and Islamic Studies.
- Specialised Foundational Tracks: Early Childhood Care Development Education (ECCDE) and Primary Education Studies (PES).
Hajia Maryam Shantali warned that the state maintains a zero-tolerance policy for academic or administrative malpractice.
Presenting forged documents, submitting multiple applications, uploading incomplete files, or refusing a rural deployment will lead to immediate, automatic disqualification from the process.
Only candidates who clear the automated online screening will be shortlisted to sit for the upcoming Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations.
Interested applicants are advised to submit their credentials directly through the official state recruitment portal before the July 16 deadline.
