Fantasy football has become one way to lure people to pay attention to the NFL, and on Thursday Yahoo Sports made a huge announcement that they will have fantasy college football for this coming season.
It’s a league that many of us join in to play, as back when I was in college, we did something similar to this, but we did all the scoring and had to do our own scoring. There have been other websites that have this, but Yahoo is the first main-stream fantasy outlet to do so.
This is extremely exciting, as you’ll be able to assemble a team of players from some of the top schools across the country. You have to believe that Notre Dame’s star quarterback CJ Carr will be rostered by many, and the Irish defense as well.
The biggest question becomes which offensive skill players will be worthy of rostering, as there are more than a few that could help fantasy teams. Running back Aneyas Williams should see the a high-volume of carries, and any number of Notre Dame’s wide receivers could break out with Carr throwing the ball to them.
With the season rapidly approaching, this announcement by Yahoo Sports just put a little more juice in the 2026 college football season.
