If you’re unfamiliar with the Yahoo Fantasy Football Expert League, let’s fill you in a bit before we go over Week 4. Yahoo Fantasy houses some of the leading analysts in the industry and we were fortunate enough to get all of them in a league for the 2026 NFL season. To keep you up to date on things, we’ll be providing weekly recaps on all the action. Let’s get into it.
Here’s a quick look at what the standings are after the second set of games of the season:

Here’s a look at how the Yahoo Fantasy Football Expert League standings look after four weeks.
We had a few teams with high scores in Week 4 in the expert league, and while Scott Pianowski wasn’t at the top of that list, his team did enough to remain undefeated at 4-0 as we hit October. Scott was able to fend off Ray Garvin and Bijan Robinson’s big game on MNF against the Saints to pick up his fourth win 130.72-98.28. Garvin saw some benefit of Bijan’s big night mimized by also starting the Saints D/ST against the Falcons.
What could hurt Pianowski as we traverse bye weeks starting in Week 5 is depth — particularly at RB. While Kyren Williams was able to carry the load in Week 4 against the Eagles, Pianowski has David Montgomery and TreVeyon Henderson as the only two viable RB options behind him. Jordan Mason is on IR and should be back soon but isn’t a sure-fire startable back. It’ll be interesting to see if Pianowski tries to strike a deal, something he talks a bit about in his Survival Guide after four weeks.
Justin Boone has shaken off a Week 1 tie with Josh Norris and has his team in great shape, coming off a 142.42-88.24 win over Dan Titus in Week 4. Boone made a strong waiver wire add in Emanuel Wilson last week, the Seahawks RB going for 25.5 fantasy points in the win over the Chargers. That isn’t the only big waiver get for Boone this season; he also added Alvin Kamara a few weeks back and that paid off in Week 4 as the Saints RB also posted 20+ fantasy points.
If I were a betting man, I’d count on Boone being a real contender in this league given his balance and depth. He has a solid trio of WRs in Chris Olave, Drake London and Christian Watson, plus Jonathan Taylor to lead the RB room that also features Wilson, Kamara and Tyler Allgeier, who could emerge as a solid weekly play given Jeremiyah Love’s injury concerns.
Boone’s only hole may be at QB with Jalen Hurts, someone Garvin is concerned about along with the Eagles’ offense overall in his latest Panic Meter writeup. Fortunately for Boone, the waiver wire has some appealing QB options, including Drake Maye (👀), Jacoby Brisset and Sam Darnold. Chances are Boone will ride with Hurts and hope for better days from the Super Bowl LIX MVP.
Matt Harmon and Max Loeb each took their first L of the season. Harmon fell victim to Joel Smyth, who got his first victory of the season, thanks in part to the return of Nico Collins. Loeb ran into Josh Norris and the mighty leg of Will Reichard, plus strong games from Kenneth Walker, Tee Higgins and Sam LaPorta, among others.
Week 4 was all about blowouts, with only one matchup decided by fewer than 24 points. That one featured Hayden Winks taking down Eric Edholm, 105.56-97.48.
Harmon: 103.18 – Smyth: 127.66
Pianowski: 130.72 – Garvin: 98.28
Boone: 142.42 – Titus: 88.24
