WWE wrestler Danhausen has become quite heavily involved with the New York Knicks during their run to the NBA Finals.

It all started because the former AEW man was feuding with The Miz, who supports the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Danhausen ‘cursed’ the Cavaliers, and the Knicks managed to beat them 4-0. The New York-based outfit were enjoying a similarly positive run against the San Antonio Spurs, but they suffered a rare defeat this week, and the WWE superstar has now reacted.

Previously, the Knicks had a 2-0 lead in the final, and Danhausen’s ‘cursing’ ability was working well.

However, their third meeting, which took place at the beginning of this week, saw the San Antonio Spurs pick up a 115-111 win at Madison Square Garden.

It was the first game the New York Knicks have lost in over 43 days, and Danhausen has reacted to the news on social media.

Taking to X/Twitter, he wrote: “Danhausen isn’t to blame for tonight,” followed by an image of Bart Simpson with the caption ‘I didn’t do it’.

The fourth meeting between the two NBA giants will take place on Wednesday evening, with further games then scheduled for June 13, 16 and 19.

New York Knicks fans now need to hope that Danhausen’s curse actually works and they are able to get over the line in the following 10 days or so.

Meanwhile, the WWE talent has been continuing to cement himself in the mainstream media with a further appearance courtesy of the Knicks.

While attending this weekend’s game at Madison Square Garden, he was spotted with some big-name celebrities like Ben Stiller and Cardi B.

This is exactly the type of publicity WWE will want their superstars to be getting, and it should be great news for Danhausen’s career inside the squared circle.
