World Cup 2026: Destiny Etiko cries out after losing N5 million to betting

Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko, has revealed that she lost N5million after placing her first-ever football bet on the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.

 The actress shared her disappointment in an Instagram post shortly after the match ended on Saturday night, describing the experience as both financially painful and emotionally draining. 

Expressing regret, Etiko said the tension of watching the game with so much money at stake left her overwhelmed.

Accompanied by crying and heartbreak emojis, she vowed never to try betting again and joked that she was done watching football altogether.

 “First time betting and I lost. Will never try it again. My N5 million is gone. In fact, I’m done watching football. Anxiety almost killed me,” she wrote.

 Her post quickly attracted reactions from fans and followers, with many sympathising with her loss, while others teased her over the unsuccessful prediction.

 Some urged her to stay away from betting, while others defended Spain’s victory in the final.
