Fresh off their historic ODI World Cup triumph on home soil last year, India’s women will now set their sights on an even more elusive prize, the T20 World Cup, as the 2026 edition gets underway in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.
Harmanpreet Kaur retains the captaincy for the tournament, with Smriti Mandhana continuing as her deputy.
The 10th edition of the biennial event is the biggest yet, featuring 12 teams, two more than the previous edition.
The sides have been divided evenly into two groups of six, with the top two from each group advancing directly to the semi-finals.
