The Wisconsin Badgers are set to take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles in Week 3 after their 36-9 win over the Western Illinois Leathernecks last Saturday.
A week ago, the Badgers got off to an amazing start, leading 17-0 after the first seven minutes, but they weren’t able to keep their foot on the gas, struggling to dominate on both sides of the ball for the rest of the first half. They ultimately won by 27, but it was well short of the 42.5-point spread that was set before the game.
Wisconsin now faces an Eastern Michigan team that just lost 35-7 to Michigan State last weekend. They’re 23.5-point favorites going into kickoff, with the game being aired on Peacock at 11:30 a.m.
Wisconsin is hoping to get Emerson Mandell back, but receivers Malachi Coleman and Jaylon Domingeaux, as well as cornerback Cai Bates, will all be out for Saturday’s game.
Heading into the week, head coach Luke Fickell saw a lot of positives from his team in Week 2, especially at the start, but also wanted them to stay more consistent throughout the game. This seems like a good opportunity for the Badgers to get some of that consistency, be it on the ground or defensively with their unit.
