The Black Cats head to Manchester for a 14:00 (UK) clash with in-form City.
Enzo Maresca’s Blues were hard at work ahead of the game as we eye three more Premier League points.
We go into the match in high spirits indeed after six wins on the bounce – triumphs over Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Coventry and Manchester United in the Premier League, FC Porto in the Champions League and Norwich City in the Carabao Cup.
Sunderland, meanwhile, a surprise package this past season after finishing seventh have begun with one win, one draw and two defeats from their opening four top-flight games coupled with victories over AZ Alkmaar and Hull City in the Europa League and Carabao Cup respectively.
Maresca was out on the fields today as he looks to oversee victory over the Wearsiders this weekend ahead of an extended international break which won’t see us in action until a trip to Anfield in a month’s time as we take on Liverpool.
