Why isn’t Jack Grealish playing? Everton star out after disciplinary breach

Everton midfielder Jack Grealish will miss Thursday’s Carabao Cup match against Newcastle due to a “breach of club discipline.”

The Toffees did not include the 31-year-old in their squad for the round of 16 match at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and did not specify which rule he violated.

“Jack Grealish is unavailable for selection due to a breach of club discipline,” Everton announced on its social media channels.

According to The Times, the midfielder was disciplined due to an unauthorized absence from training.
