What USC coach Lincoln Riley said about Ohio State after the game

After a hapless road performance against Wisconsin last week, USC returned to L.A. and embarrassed No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday night. It was the kind of win for the Trojans that could serve as a springboard to bigger things, and the kind of loss that could have a lasting impact on the psyche of the Buckeyes.

USC head coach Lincoln Riley was understandably jovial after the 30-18 win when he sat down in front of the media for his postgame press conference, and he had plenty to say about his team and the competitor he went against, Ohio State. We like to hear from the opposing coaches when available after their team plays the Scarlet and Gray, and we were especially intrigued by what Riley had to say because of the criticism he has received as of late.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch and listen to what the USC head coach said about Ohio State after the game, we have his entire press conference for you here, including a rather awkward moment at the end when he reads a prepared statement about the job he is doing for the program. Riley also discussed how good OSU’s defensive line is, preparing a game plan for an unknown quarterback, how talented the Buckeyes are, and more.

Ohio State must now turn the page quickly and get ready to play another talented roster because Oregon is set to come to town next Saturday. We’ll have plenty in the build-up to what feels like a must-win for the Buckeyes.
