What channel is Troy baseball vs West Virginia today in College World Series? Time, TV
OMAHA, Neb. — Troy baseball‘s unexpected postseason run has taken the Trojans to their first College World Series appearance.
It starts Friday, June 11 with a matchup against No. 16-national seed West Virginia.
The only other Sun Belt teams to reach the CWS were Louisiana in 2000 and Coastal Carolina in 2025, when it was the national runner-up.
Troy (38-30) was just two games over .500 after losing to Miami in its first game in the NCAA Tournament before it beat Rider, Miami and Florida twice in the Gainesville Regional and then won both games from Little Rock in the Troy Super Regional.
“We had to play a lot of games with our backs against the wall,” catcher Jabe Boroff said Thursday. “And we played amazing. That’s when we play our best baseball, in high-pressure situations and with our backs against the wall. I think that us dropping that game really just lit a fire under us, and all we want to do is keep on pushing.”
Troy is going with lefty Benjamin Stubbs (6-3. 4,93) on Friday. West Virginia (45-15) will start righty Chansen Cole (10-1, 2.85 ERA)
Troy baseball will play West Virginia on ESPN. Announcers for the game are Mike Monaco, Ben McDonald, Eduardo Perez and Taylor McGregor.
Troy and West Virginia will play at 1 p.m. Friday at Charles Schwab Field.
The CWS begins June 12 and could last until June 22.
