Westlake football faces showdown at 6A power Prosper: Austin-area Week 3 schedule

Week 3 of the 2026 Central Texas high school football season sees the start of two districts beginning their schedules: District 12-5A Division I and 13-5A DI. The marquee matchup of the week is Westlake, coming off its two home wins against Inglewood, Calif., and Euless Trinity, on the road at fellow Class 6A power Prosper; and two matchups involving American-Statesman top 10 area preseason teams – Vandegrift at Liberty Hill and Dripping Springs at Round Rock.
