College football is finally returning to the city of South Bend on Sayurday, as the No.3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish will host the Rice Owls in the home opener.
The Irish more than took care of business on Sunday against the Wisconsin Badgers, but they created a new list of doubters because of a slow start in the first half. Notre Dame will be massive favorites this week and against Rice we expect more of what the Irish brought in the second half against Wisconsin.
Are you going up?
A few days ago, there was a chance that some thunderstorms might roll in during the game — and we know all too well how that might go down as we’ve seen some delays in recent history. The good news now is that the storms are predicted to stay away — but there will still be a considerable amount of humidity on the air to go along with high tempertures. It’s going to be hot and sticky for the entire game.

Make sure you drink plenty of fluids (you know the ones) because tailgating will be especially warm and humid as well. It’s a rough haul for 10-12 hours of a full day on campus for the game, so be careful out there.
