Washington WBB adds commitment from five-star guard in 2027 class

Tina Langley and the Washington Huskies added a commitment from one of the nation’s top guards in the 2027 class, five-star Jessie Moses, on Tuesday afternoon.

The product of Florida’s prestigious IMG Academy, who is originally from Norristown, Pennsylvania, is ranked as the No. 30 overall prospect and No. 2 combo guard by the 247Sports Composite, and chose the Huskies out of her 34 offers, including Central Florida, Michigan State, Rutgers, and TCU.

As Langley’s hot streak on the recruiting trail continues, the 5-foot-9 guard emphasized a strong relationship with the coaching staff as one of the biggest reasons she chose the Huskies.

“The moment I stepped on campus, it just felt like home,” Moses told Rivals’ Talia Goodman. “I felt that’s where I wanted to be and where I needed to be. I loved the coaches, the players, and how everybody was like treating each other and how they treated me. They’re very welcoming, and I feel like that’s something that I enjoyed while on the visit. Washington is super nice. The campus is great, and the team is great, so I just feel like I can see myself doing really good things there and just growing on and off the court.”

Moses also believes that she’ll be a great fit in Washington’s offense as Langley looks for another high-end scorer in the backcourt to prepare for life after the graduation of All-Big Ten First Team honoree Sayvia Sellers.

“A lot of ball screens, a lot of down screens, and a lot of just playing and reading, which I feel like is something that I do well in,” Moses added. “I got a chance to watch practice. They did a little bit of skill work, and then they were running through different concepts defensively and offensively, and I just think that I can see myself fitting in. I think it’s really just how I play, and Coach Tina just does a great job with development and making sure, like, the girls know that she has them, regardless.”
