Vote top Mississippi high school offensive football star 2026 midseason

As the 2026 Mississippi high school football season is at its midway mark and playoffs are approaching, the Clarion Ledger is highlighting some of the state’s top performers on offense.

Fans may vote for their choice of top MHSAA and MAIS player in the poll BELOW one time per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Saturday.

The list is based on the Clarion Ledger’s midseason watch file, and stats reflect the week of Sept. 24.

Players are listed in alphabetical order

Christian Alexander, Rosa Fort: The Mississippi State commit has nine total touchdowns and 617 offensive yards.

Jaden Allen, Brookhaven: Allen has recorded eight touchdowns with 414 passing and 133 rushing yards this season.

Kross Avent, East Webster: The junior has 1,036 passing yards with 14 total touchdowns.

Austin Banks III, Madison-Ridgeland Academy: Banks has 1,299 passing yards on 91 completions with 15 touchdowns.

Aaric Beasley, Jackson Academy: Beasley has rushed for 981 yards on 112 carries and 12 touchdowns.

Brysen Bivins, Laurel: The junior has 10 total TDs behind 849 offensive yards.

Langston Branson, Germantown: Branson has a team-high 15 touchdowns and 1,259 offensive yards.

Jimmie Broomfield, Scott Central: The sophomore has recorded 13 total touchdowns with 895 offensive yards.

Majure Chandler, Leake Academy: Chandler has 1,343 passing yards with 17 total touchdowns.

Kardez Copeland, Parklane Academy: Copeland has recorded 624 receiving yards with 27 receptions and 10 TDs.

Chase Craft, Heidelberg: Craft has produced 808 offensive yards with 14 touchdowns.

Drew Dean, Tupelo: Dean has 53 completions for 777 passing yards with 10 total scores.

Gavin Ducksworth, Hattiesburg: Ducksworth has had 968 passing yards with five touchdowns.

Jykeim Goodwin, Noxubee County: The Nebraska commit has recorded 11 touchdowns with 895 offensive yards.

Kellen Hall, Oak Grove: The Old Dominion commit has had 779 passing yards with eight total scores.

Saniyah Hickman, Nanih Waiya: Hickman has 20 receptions for 592 yards and eight scores.

Grant Hill, Meridian: Hill has a team-high 11 touchdowns with 533 rushing yards on 59 carries.

Yoshawn Hudson, Winona: The Mississippi State commit has recorded 657 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.

Zaiden Jernigan, Louisville: Jernigan has had six rushing scores on 44 carries for 309 yards.

Ty Keys, Poplarville: The Miami commit has produced 15 touchdowns with 794 all-purpose yards.

Cooper Lankford, Hernando: Lankford has recorded 62 carries for 636 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

Tootie Lindsey, West Jones: Lindsay has had 14 touchdowns with 972 passing and 181 rushing yards.

Tavares Mitchell, Richland: Mitchell has recorded 856 rushing yards with 11 touchdowns on 78 carries.

Nash Morgan, Warren Central: The Mississippi State commit has eight TDs with 973 offensive yards.

Gavin Phillipson, Northwest Rankin: Phillipson has tallied 1,003 passing yards with 76 completions and 14 TDs.

Jacory Ruffin, Starkville: Ruffin has 304 offensive yards with six total touchdowns.

Dawsen Sullivan, St. Martin: Sullivan has had 16 TDs with 1,115 offensive yards.

Paris Trivillion, Pass Christian: Trivillion has tallied 21 scores with 1,641 total offensive yards.

Caiden Wade, Kosciusko: The Southern Miss commit has 1,418 offensive yards with 20 total touchdowns.

Jordan Walley, D’Iberville: The Minnesota commit has 10 touchdowns with 698 offensive yards.

Justin Wedgeworth, Hancock: Wedgeworth has produced 1,406 passing yards with 12 total touchdowns.

Jackson Wolverton, Gulfport: The sophomore has 773 passing yards with 10 total scores.
