More than two hours after the 11:00 AM Central time deadline, the National Football League has announced the waiver claims that teams around the NFL have made, and the Minnesota Vikings have been awarded two players off of the waiver wire, both of them offensive linemen.

Per numerous reports, the team has claimed center Nick Samac and guard Trevor Keegan. Corresponding roster moves to put them on the 53-man roster have not been announced at the present time.

Samac (pronounced SAY-mack) was a seventh-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2024 NFL Draft after playing his college ball at Michigan State. He spent the 2024 season on the Baltimore practice squad, and after being waived by the Ravens following camp in 2025 and signed to their practice squad, he was signed by the Carolina Panthers to their active roster. He appeared in 11 games for the Panthers in 2025, playing exclusively on special teams.

Keegan was a fifth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 NFL Draft after his college career at the University of Michigan. A First-Team All-Big Ten Selection in 2022 and a Second-Team All-Big Ten Selection in 2023, Keegan was a part of the Eagles team that won the Super Bowl in 2024. (Yes, he only appeared in one game that season, but hey. . .rings is rings.) He was waived by the Eagles in August of 2025 and claimed by their division rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. He appeared in two games for the Cowboys before being placed on injured reserve with a neck injury.

None of the players that the Vikings waived on Sunday as part of getting down to the 53-man roster were claimed by other teams.

With the waiver claims out of the way, teams can now start putting together their practice squads. We will be doing our best to track all of those transactions with our practice squad tracker, which you can find right here.

UPDATE: Per Ian Rapoport, one of the Vikings’ move is waiving quarterback Max Brosmer.
