A famous quote says that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. That must have been what the Dallas Mavericks were feeling during their matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
Late in the second quarter, the Mavericks were trying to score. Unfortunately for them, Wembanyama got three different blocks in 13 seconds. It goes to show that Wembanyama is the league’s most imposing defender, and he will continue to be that moving forward.

Against the Mavericks, Wembanyama was feeling it from the start of the game. In the first half alone, Wembanyama had 29 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks. It was a fantastic performance that shocked everyone.
Over the past year, Wembanyama has cemented himself as one of the league’s best players. He has continued to improve on both ends of the floor, but it seems his defense continues to be his biggest strength.

After the first half, Wembanyama had everyone laughing because of how absurd his stat line was. This includes NBA icon Charles Barkley, who was on the halftime show with Inside the NBA.
“What the hell am I supposed to say? America, I wish I could just make up something to sound smart. Just look at this stuff. This is just ridiculous, man. It is flat-out amazing, and the kid is so young,” Barkley said about Wembanyama on Inside the NBA.
Wembanyama will continue to baffle everyone with his performances. He has gone viral for the three blocks, but his overall game continues to improve, and that has helped him lead the Spurs to some phenomenal success.
