UNIZIK introduces digital clearance, certificate systems to reduce graduation delays

He said the digital process would enable students to complete the requirements without having to move physically from one office to another.

Provisional certificates with verification codes

The Vice-Chancellor also disclosed that the university had introduced a system that automatically generates provisional certificates after students complete their clearance.

He said the certificates would contain barcodes that employers and other institutions could scan to verify their authenticity.

“Once you finish the clearance, the system generates a provisional certificate for you, which you can download online.

“It has a barcode, so when you apply for a job, they can scan the barcode, receive an authentication code and authenticate your certificate,” he said.

The initiative is expected to make it easier for graduates to provide verifiable evidence of their academic qualifications when applying for employment or further studies.
