The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced its 368th Inaugural Lecture, featuring Professor Lateef Kayode Adeyemo, a distinguished Professor of Islamic and Other Civilizations.

​The event, hosted by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN, on behalf of the University Senate, staff, and students, is set to delve into the historical and future impacts of Islamic contributions to global development.

​About the Lecturer

​Professor Lateef Kayode Adeyemo brings a wealth of international academic experience to the podium. His academic journey includes:

​B.A. (Hons) and M.A. in Islamic Studies from the University of Ibadan (1995, 2000).

​PhD in Islamic and Other Civilizations from the International Islamic University, Malaysia (2012).

​Fellow, Academy of Religion (FAR), 2025.

​Member, Nigeria Academy of Letters (MNAL), 2025.
