Tyson Fury has his long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua coming down the road, but the boxing icon could have another mega event in the works. Bare Knuckle Boxing CEO David Tetreault says his promotion is in talks with Fury and former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz about a bare knuckle “mega event.” Let’s talk boxing.
Active conversations, no fight or date announced

Tetreault told Yahoo Sports the conversations are active, adding, “It all comes down to the way that we could create a mega event.”
Tetreault is already aware that Fury’s business with Joshua comes first, but his willingness to share information about the talks seeds some confidence in the promotion’s ability to pull off the event. Both Fury and Ruiz were guests at recent BKB shows. I was in Miami and saw Fury at the BKB 58 show. Ruiz was a guest at BKB 59 in Tijuana, Mexico.
“Those conversations are active,” Tetreault told USA TODAY Sports. “It all comes down to the way that we could create a mega event.
“It could be with other heavyweights that are out there. But if we can construct the proper mega event, we have the funding and the way to make that come together.”
BKB has planted their flag in the UK and in Mexico, so there’s seemingly several potential locations for what would be the biggest bare knuckle main event in history. It would then become BKB’s responsibility to flesh out that card with the kinds of stars the promotion wants to market and push into the future.
BKB’s next two confirmed cards both land in the UK.
Keep an eye out for fighters like Jesse Sparks, Cub Hawkins, Yamier Ramirez and Estevan Partida. As it is, Fury needs to come away from his fight with Joshua intact — even if he doesn’t win. And then perhaps business with BKB will pick up.
BKB will be watching that fight closely.
