Tyreek Hill wants to help a team win Super Bowl, says agent Drew Rosenhaus

Tyreek Hill is expected to take his time before choosing his next NFL team. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, says Hill’s priority is finding a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Hill remains a free agent while recovering from a serious knee injury. Rosenhaus said the veteran receiver does not expect to sign before the season.

“I don’t expect Tyreek to sign before the season,” Rosenhaus said on The Pat McAfee Show. “He sent me video yesterday. This is good timing of him running hills. And he looked great. And I said to him, ‘You look great.’ And he said to me, ‘I still have some work to do. I’m not ready yet.'”

Rosenhaus said Hill will control the timeline.

“I am not pressuring Tyreek, nor am I setting a timeline for him,” Rosenhaus said. “I think that what I have said to Tyreek is, take your time. It’s not when you come back. It’s how you come back. We want you to come back when you feel your best. There’s no sense of urgency timing-wise.”

That approach could also shape Hill’s contract market. Several established receivers have recently signed deals, including Stefon Diggs, Deebo Samuel and Keenan Allen.

Rosenhaus indicated that money will not necessarily decide Hill’s destination. The veteran receiver appears more focused on joining a roster capable of competing immediately.

Will Tyreek get as much as those guys or less? I don’t think that’s his priority,” Rosenhaus said. “I really think his priority is to pick the right team, take his time, come back fully healthy, and help a team win a Super Bowl.”

Hill’s speed can change an offense, but his age and injury history create questions for potential suitors. Teams must determine whether his explosive ability can return after rehabilitation.

Rosenhaus remains confident in Hill’s long-term outlook.

“I think this is a future Hall of Famer who still has a lot of good football left in him,” Rosenhaus said. “This was a devastating injury. But everyone’s going to be so impressed when they see how well Tyreek is rehabbing.”

The agent also stressed that Hill could become an important midseason addition.

“It’s not hyperbole for me to predict that he will play this season when I’m not sure,” Rosenhaus said. “But I do think when he does sign, he will be a coveted player. He’ll be the kind of guy that will impact the playoff race and will certainly be successful once he signs.”

From a roster standpoint, waiting could benefit both sides. Contenders can assess their receiving groups before deciding whether Hill fills a genuine need.

Hill also gains time to regain confidence and conditioning. A healthy return could make him particularly valuable when teams approach the playoff race.

That goal could make Hill’s eventual signing one of the season’s biggest roster moves.
