Trey McBride, Elijah Higgins participate in Tight End Unversity

Another offseason, and there is another Tight End University. Current NFL tight ends George Kittle and Travis Kelce, along with retired NFL tight end Greg Olsen founded the event, now in its sixth year, “a three-day offseason event dedicated to collaboration, film review, drills, recovery and more at Vanderbilt University for players of the position.”

Trey McBride, arguably the best tight end in the NFL, was in attendance again representing the Cardinals, and so was fellow Cardinals tight end Elijah Higgins.

The Cardinals shared a photo of both on social media.

McBride has had consecutive 100-reception seasons and finished second in the NFL in receptions in 2025. Higgins enters the final year of his contract, so he will be looking to put up more numbers. He had 30 catches for 301 yards.

It is good to see both of them there with other tight ends around the league. It shows both that they want to be around them and that they are relevant enough to get invited (we knew that McBride was going to be there already as he has gone multiple years).
