Transfer: Man Utd set to sign two LaLiga midfielders

Manchester United are eager to sign Fermin Lopez and Pablo Barrios from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, respectively.

The Red Devils spent £155 million on Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Carlos Baleba in the summer.

But they remain keen on bolstering their midfield options.

Speaking on Marca’s La Pizarra de Quintana show, transfer expert Matteo Moretto said: “There’s a Premier League club, Manchester United, that has a lot of things to sort out and is looking for a midfielder with the characteristics of Barrios and Fermin.

“They’ve inquired about both of them, there’s no negotiation, just an enquiry.”

It remains to be seen if United can complete deals for both Fermin and Barrios when the transfer market reopens in January.
