Titans' Wan’Dale Robinson reveals Cam Ward's unique trait

On Thursday, new Tennessee Titans wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson joined Kay Adams on the “Up & Adams” podcast and talked about a myriad of topics, including, as titans/336" target="_blank">Titans Wire covered yesterday, that he became the shortest wide receiver in NFL history to record 1,000 yards in the regular season.

During the podcast, he also talked about his new quarterback, Cam Ward, and pointed out a big difference he found out during offseason team activities (OTAs) between Ward and his former quarterbacks with the New York Giants.

“You better have your head around… I haven’t really had a QB that as soon as you put your foot in the ground, the ball’s out.”

“That’s my guy right there. I mean, he is just one of the guys. All business, whenever it’s on football. Whenever we are off, he’s gonna be joking around with the guys just like all of us. Nah, he is great.”

But Robinson continued, breaking down the most noticeable trait Ward has compared to those in New York.

“You better have your head around because the ball is coming out fast. But it’s been good. He’s putting it right where it needs to be. Took a little getting used to about the first two days. After that, we’ve been clicking on all cylinders.” Robinson said, “I mean, I didn’t really have a quarterback that as soon as you put your foot in the ground, the ball’s out. And as soon as you turn your head, it’s already there. And just run some of the plays that he really likes to run and that he’s really, really comfortable with. You can tell with the confidence that he has on the ball that this is coming out hot.”

This statement is a great sign for both Robinson and the Titans’ organization. The more reps that Ward gets in the system, the more confidence he will gain, and the better he will hopefully perform in 2026. His growth in his second season at the helm is the key to success in 2026, and by all accounts, he is trending in the right direction.
