Tim Jenkins breaks down Bo Nix’s film from comeback win

The Denver Broncos once again danced on the fine line between first half disaster and second half brilliance in their Week 3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Much of that second half brilliance was due to quarterback Bo Nix, who accounted for all three Broncos offensive touchdowns (two passing, one rushing). Nix finished the game 17-of-34 passing for 186 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

Quarterback guru Tim Jenkins broke down Nix’s performance as a tale of two quarterbacks.

“A huge roller coaster in terms of not a great first half but then a great second half,” Jenkins said as he opened his breakdown. “To me that leaves me the question of, ‘What changed, what was different?'”

Jenkins broke down Nix’s first touchdown pass to Pat Bryant in the third quarter.

“Here we got the touchdown,” Jenkins said. “Little Pat Bryant TD. Well deserved… Bo does a great job just buying a little bit of time. That’s awesome.”

Jenkins then turned to the two-point conversion from Nix to Jaylen Waddle.

“This one is maybe the best play we will see in Week 3,” Jenkins said. “This is as good as it gets in the National Football League. This is a crazy route, this is an insane throw… I do not know — I don’t know how you make this play. But holy smokes, is it good.”

Jenkins left the final word from Nix’s night.

“All in all, I thought it was a heck of an outing for this Broncos offense,” Jenkins said. “I thought Bo really struggled in the first half, a couple of those progressions that we’d like back, but I do think, man, did he come alive in the second half.”

Jenkins and Broncos fans alike want to see Bo Nix get better earlier. If he does, this Broncos offense could really start to stretch the field and stretch defenses alike.

Their next opportunity to put things together comes on Sunday, when the Broncos travel to the West Coast to take on the undefeated San Francisco 49ers in Week 4.
