IND vs WI, live streaming: When and where to watch second ODI as India look to seal series

India’s batting remains its biggest strength, but the pace-bowling combination will be a concern when the hosts look to seal the three-match ODI series against the West Indies in the second game in Guwahati on Wednesday.

Virat Kohli will once again be in the spotlight after he rolled back the years with a record-breaking century in the series opener in Thiruvananthapuram. Captain Shubman Gill also scored a hundred as India chased down 296 in under 42 overs.

Kuldeep Yadav was another standout performer, taking 4-40 and making crucial strikes to underline his importance to the attack. However, India’s pace department looked less convincing in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.

Mohammed Siraj was left out of the first ODI as India opened the bowling with all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. The move was part of a dress rehearsal for next year’s ODI World Cup, but the experiment did not go according to plan and raised questions about the decision to leave the more experienced Siraj on the bench.

India will return to Guwahati with good memories of the venue. They have won both their ODIs at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, with Kohli scoring centuries in both matches. Rohit Sharma has also scored a century and a half-century at the venue.

Batting-friendly conditions could again put the bowlers under pressure. All four innings in the two ODIs played at the venue have produced scores of more than 300, while the bowlers from both teams were put under pressure in the series opener at the Greenfield International Stadium.

It remains to be seen whether the Indian management changes the bowling attack for the second ODI. Siraj and Auqib Nabi were the two bowlers left out of the playing XI in the first game.
