The Post's Girls Athlete of the Week: Vote on the best of Sept. 28 - Oct. 2

Welcome to Athlete of the Week voting from The Palm Beach Post!

Congratulations to last week’s winner, Reese McMillan from Benjamin girls golf. The sophomore shot a 137 to pace the field (T1) at the South Florida PGA West Coast Championship.

Each week, The Post will highlight the best boys and girls high school student-athlete performances in Palm Beach County. The polls will be open until noon Friday.

Here’s a look at the best girls performances from the the most recent week of high school competition:

Voting will be open until Friday, Oct. 9 at noon.

Volleyball: Caroline Wright, Sr., Boca Raton Christian — Tallied 48 kills in the last three matches, helping the Blazers to a 2-1 record

Volleyball: Gemma Murray, Jr., Somerset Canyons — Paced the Cougars with 14 kills, four blocks, and five digs in a 3-2 victory over American Heritage-Delray

Volleyball: Bella Levitt, Sr., Dwyer — Led the Panthers with 14 kills and four blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Centennial

Cross country: Delaney Ulmer, Jr., Jupiter — Ran a 21:27.92 to take third place in the South Fork Bulldog Invitational, the best mark of any county runner

Golf: Emma Andrews, Jr., Spanish River — Paced the field by shooting a 40 (4-over), helping the Sharks defeat Palm Beach Central
