The Duke Chronicle is cranking up its annual look at new talent for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams, and so far, they’ve done four on the women’s side. We’ve linked the stories below, but here are just a couple of quick points:
Aaliyah Crump transfers in from Texas, where she started off well, but finished the season with a foot injury that limited her. She’s 6-1 and formerly a Top-5 recruit.
Sanai Green is a 6-0 freshman who brings a lot of versatility to the program. That’s a huge asset for any team.
Bella Flemings is also 6-0, and she’s a scorer. Basketball runs in her family – her brother, Kingston, just had a terrific freshman year at Houston and is now in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks.
Autumn Fleary is a Top-15 recruit, a 5-7 point guard, and a pit bull defender. She sounds like the kind of player coach Kara Lawson will absolutely love having on her team. Our favorite thing about Lawson is how her team can at times just force a ridiculous number of turnovers. Fleary should really help there.
