Texas Longhorns offer 2028 three-star DL recruit Josiah Taylor
The Texas Longhorns have two commitments in their 2028 class with four-star running back Micah Rhodes being the latest as he pledged last week to go along with four-star quarterback Neimann Lawrence. There most recent offer in the cycle is on the defensive side of the ball.
Texas has expanded their search for talent to the state of Florida. They have extended an offer to three-star defensive lineman Josiah Taylor. He attends Vero Beach High School.
“Blessed to receive a offer from university of Texas,” Taylor announced.
Taylor is the nation’s No. 479 overall recruit and the No. 55 defensive lineman in 247Sports composite rankings. He’s the No. 62 prospect in Florida as well.
His recruitment started to pick up during the summer when he got offers from Baylor, Boston College, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, and Florida. The Gators also hosted Taylor for multiple unofficial visits in September, and they currently have multiple predictions to land him. He also received an offer from Mississippi State last week.
With an offer on the table for Taylor, Texas needs to try to get the 6-foot-4, 315-pounder on campus for a visit in the near future.
